Our twelth conference was held on 8. - 11.02.2006 in Cologne. In cooperation with the 'Römisch-Germanisches Museum' and the Department for Classical Archaeology of the University of Cologne, the motto of this annual conference was: "Wrecks: expressive testimonies of ancient ship catastrophes" . This year encompassed again an interesting variety of themes, i.a. recent ship-archaeological research, deep water archaeology, underwater cultural management and the most recent results of fieldwork in the harbour of Alexandria.
