The non-governmental expert organisation ICOMOS, founded 1965, promotes concerns of monuments protection and consrvation on national and international levels. Currently, ICOMOS has more than 100 National Commitees and more than 25 International Scientific Commitees. ICOMOS Germany is a registered non-profit association with more than 350 members.

Since 2015, DEGUWA is a member of ICOMOS Germany.
